We are pleased to announce that André Schembri has been appointed Director of Engineering. This is a newly created role in which André will be responsible for how Born Digital builds and releases software. He will also contribute to Born Digital's strategic direction as a member of the leadership group.
Born Digital has matured, and the way code is written has changed significantly over the past year. Both make it more important that sound engineering principles are applied consistently at scale. By having one person own those principles and apply them across every project, we keep the quality of our work high.
Beyond his previous experience as a co-founder, André has built a reputation for putting resilient standard operating procedures in place for development teams working in hybrid-remote setups.
